Colors that wake up the face

Shimmers are perfect for this. Using a pink blush with a subtle shimmer that compliments your skin tone can instantly wake up the face. A shimmery champagne on the eyes works great with this!

Something to try..

Apply blush with a skunk brush and remember that investing in a good quality brush makes all the difference in your result.

My current obsession

2 words: Annabelle Cosmetics.

Simply put it is high quality makeup at an inexpensive price. I find the quality of these products to be better than most high end brands. My wallet and I are very, very happy.

I especially love the eye shadows for various reasons:
- color section is incredible
- soft and smooth
- easy to apply, they blend well
- long lasting

Some of my favorites shades: Haute Chocolate trio, Gleam, and Nugget.

Apparently Annabelle has just released a new mascara Volumelash.com. I haven't tried it yet but when I do I'll let you all know what I think.

Liner tip

Lining inner/bottom rim of eyes with white eyeliner..
I like this tip. It does work. It really brightens and brings out the eyes. But what I have found works even better is using a flesh tone or a beige liner instead. It has the same effect but it looks more natural.

Finally!

Face masks.
Until recently I thought it was impossible to find a face mask that minimizes pores, evens everything out, deep cleans AND softens skin. Sure, many of them claim to but I've yet to see a face mask live up to its claims until I discovered Queen Helene Mud Pack Face Mask. It is amazing stuff & so inexpensive! I have bought face masks that cost 5x as much and they are nowhere near as good as this. Try it, trust me you'll love it, and if you don't you're only out a couple dollars

New to this

"When you look beautiful you feel beautiful and that is confidence, and there is nothing more attractive than that"..

I'm new to this whole blogging thing but I'm definitely not new to beauty products. I've always considered makeup to be a hobby, an art form. I am constantly trying new products and when I find a product I absolutely love I just have to rave about it to everybody I know. Now I've discovered blogging. What better way to spread the word! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about any of my recommendations.
